[PATCHES/FIXES SPECIFICALLY MADE FOR THE C&C:TFD PACK]

- The First Decade Official Patch 1.01 created by Electronic Arts (EXE installer)
This is the first official patch, which fixes the issue of missing movies in The Covert Operations, Red Alert, and the Red Alert Expansion packs.

- The First Decade Official Patch 1.02 [English] / [German] created by Electronic Arts (EXE installer)
The second official patch, which fixes missing music in The Covert Operations, and fixes the registry settings of all games.
Since this patch does NOT include the fixes of patch 1.01, you need to install BOTH patches.
Note though that all fixes offered by this particular patch have been recreated in fan versions which do a much better job at cleaning up the game folders. That difference can literally go up to several gigabytes. See the TFD cleanup guide for more info.

- TFD C&C95/RA1 Full Cleanup (v1.0) (BAT)
This tool cleans up the C&C1 and RA1 folders in the TFD installation, removing some 770 mb of unneeded files in the process.
You need to apply the official TFD 1.01 patch before using this tool. This tool is 100% compatible with TFD 1.02. It doesn't matter if you execute the 1.02 patch before or after this cleanup.
Works on both the English and German version of TFD, but the German version has less mess to clean up ;)

- Nyerguds' TFD Red Alert main.mix cleanup (BAT+EXE)
This tool cleans up the RA1 main.mix file in the way patch 1.01 and 1.02 SHOULD have done it, adding all videos to one internal archive, and adding the expansion music. It automatically cleans up any files extracted by 1.01 and 1.02 patches. It will free up about 800 mb of disk space.
This patch includes the Snow theater smudge graphics fix and "Situation Critical" fix for RA v3.03, both made by MrFlibble.

- Original Red Alert 1 THIPX32.DLL created by Westwood Studios (DLL)
The original RA1 THIPX32.DLL file. Overwriting the one in your RA directory by this one should fix the LAN play in TFD. Alternatively, you can use Scorpio9a's Network DLL patch.
Note that if you use the original DLL you need to install the IPX network protocol to play LAN games.

- TFD Tiberian Sun No-DVD patch (EXE) / [Source code of movies fix] (PASCAL)
If you have troubles starting TFD TS because it keeps asking for the DVD even if you got it inserted, this patch is for you. Just unrar the archive in your TFD TS folder, overwriting the original GAME.EXE by the fixed one, and then run the included FIX_TFD_TS_VIDS.EXE program once.

- TFD Tiberian Sun mod-exe fix (EXE) / [Source code] (PASCAL)
This program allows mods that use a modified TS 2.03 exe file (like Return of the Dawn) to be played on TFD, by removing their CD check.

- Westwood Online DLL registry fix (BAT)
If any of the games complains that the Westwood online support library is missing or invalid, download this tool, put it in the INTERNET folder of your TFD installation and run it there. If all goes well, you will get two Windows message boxes telling you that "DLLRegistryServer succeeded" for a DLL file.

[OTHER C&C PATCHES/FIXES] (also necessary to get TFD running well)

- C&C95 patch 1.06 (EXE installer)
This patch is the combination of all of the previous fan-fixes for this game, and a huge amount of new fixes and features. It is available in English, German and French. It offers features like 6-player LAN play, high resolutions, several mission fixes, skirmish play... what are you still waiting for? Go get it! :)

- Red Alert 3.03 patch created by Westwood Studios, edited by Nyerguds to add TFD support and extra fixes (EXE installer)
The official Red Alert 1 v3.03 beta patch, which was meant to unify the RA versions after the Aftermath expansion (which is v2.00). This version was never officially released, but is definitely superior to the previous ones.
The patch is poured into a nice installer, with some extra fixes. This installer includes the English, German and French patch, and will automatically detect when it is being installed on The First Decade and adapt the game to work correctly on TFD.
It contains the Snow Theater 'Smudge' Graphics Fix and Aftermath mission "Situation Critical" fix (both made by MrFlibble), and also has options to install extras like the normal-sized infantry, the network DLL patch, and, for the German version, game uncensoring.

- Red Alert 1.08 patch [English] / [German] / [French] created by Westwood Studios
The (older) official Red Alert 1 v1.08 patch, which was made to unify the RA versions after the Counterstrike expansion (which is v1.07). This patch is essential to run the game on modern operating systems, unless you install the 3.03 patch or the Aftermath expansion.
After installing this patch, it is advised to also install Scorpio9a's network patch, since it removes the need for the IPX protocol on LAN games.
It's advised to use the 3.03 patch instead of this one, though.

- RA1 v3.03 Network DLL Patch v1.00 created by Scorpio9a (Kevin van Gool), edited by Nyerguds for RA 3.03 (DLL)
This allows you to play Red Alert 1 v3.03 LAN games on Windows XP and Windows Vista, without needing to install the IPX protocol.
Simply put this file in your RA1 folder.

- C&C95/RA95 windowed Mode patch (CnC-DDraw) created by hifi (Toni Spets) (DLL)
This allows you to play C&C95 and RA95 in windowed mode, and fixes a number of issues like the fast scrolling problem. Note that this is still being developed, so there is no point in storing a local copy here. Download it at the site.

- Red Alert windows theme cleanup (BAT)
This fixes the Windows themes in the "RED ALERT" folder installed with RA:Aftermath and RA:Counterstrike (and TFD, but for TFD you should use the Full Cleanup tool).

- Red Alert Ant missions fix (MIX)
Add this to your Red Alert directory if the hidden ant campaign keeps giving "Unable to read scenario" errors. Alternatively, you can install the Ants briefing video, which also includes this fix.

- TS/RA2 Network DLL Patch v1.00 created by Scorpio9a (Kevin van Gool) (DLL)
This allows you to play Tiberian Sun and Red Alert 2 LAN games on Windows XP and Windows Vista, without needing to install the IPX protocol.
Simply put this file in your TS/RA2 folder.
WARNING - this DLL causes problems with online play. It is advised to rename it or move it to a different folder to play online, and only install it for playing LAN games.

- MultiRes created by EnTech Taiwan (EXE)
On some systems, C&C95 and RA95 don't launch if your screen refresh rate is too high. Because going through your display properties every time just to play one game can get really annoying, I added this tool here.
MultiRes adds a tray icon to your taskbar from which you can easily change your display settings without going through the control panel. It shows every screen resolution and refresh rate your video card knows.
Be careful when using this tool though; the fact your video card knows a certain ultra-high resolution is no guarantee that your monitor can handle it.

- ForceCore created by Kalme (Peter Kuhn) (EXE)
Many games tend to crash on systems with a dual core processor. Rather than adjusting it manually every time you run the game, this tool automates that.
The general way to use it is to make a shortcut that runs forcecore.exe with the core to run on and the program to launch as parameters. You can simply run forcecore.exe to get more information on how to use it.

- CPU-Grabber 5.01 created by Microsoft (EXE)
On some systems, RA95 scrolling goes way too fast, even on the slowest ingame setting. CPU-Grabber allows software-underclocking of your CPU by taking up a certain percentage of your CPU power, leaving the rest available for the game to run on.
However, before trying this (rather extreme) solution, try enabling the Back Buffer in Video Memory option in RASETUP.EXE / using the CnC-DDraw patch.
Usage: open CPU-Grabber, set it on a certain percentage, and click its Start button. Leave the tool open while playing Red Alert, and close it after you exit the game.
The percentage to set it on will vary for each system. It will probably be around 60 to 80 percent.

[TFD ADDONS/ENHANCEMENTS]

- TFD DOS C&C addon [English] / [German]  [SCREENSHOT]
For people who want to get REALLY retro, or see how crappy it really was in 320x200, here is a small addon pack for The First Decade that gives you a fully functional DOS C&C!
(Note that there is also a mod for C&C95 v1.06c that gives the game the DOS C&C interface. No 320x200 though)

- TFD Logo-Free launcher created by Hipsu-Kun (EXE)
This is a small alternative launcher that removes all the splash screens from the The First Decade's launcher program, speeding up the load time for the games. Simply replace the TFDLauncher.exe in the Launcher folder of your TFD install directory by the one in this archive.

[NON-TFD-SPECIFIC ADDONS/ENHANCEMENTS] (these all work on TFD, unless indicated otherwise)

- Red Alert Aftermath disabler/re-enabler (EXE) / [Source code] (PASCAL)
Tool to disable (and re-enable) Aftermath in RA1, so you can play LAN/skirmish without the Aftermath units. This tool only works on RA 3.03 though. It has no effect on lower RA versions.

- Ant mission briefing with General Carville (MIX)
Gives the ant campaign an introduction briefing video with General Carville. It also fixes the "unable to read scenario" bug in the ants campaign.
This video is included in Red Alert: The Lost Files (see below), so there is no need to install it if you use the Lost Files mod.

- Red Alert: The Lost Files (MIX) [SCREENSHOT] This mod adds some 180 mb of movies to Red Alert: Counterstrike and Aftermath, like briefing movies from the Playstation version (including one for the ant missions) and action vids recovered from trailers.
Requires FunkyFr3sh's Red Alert patch.

- Tiberian Sun Firestorm videos addon (MIX+INI)
This mod adds four missing 3D-rendered action scene videos to the Tiberian Sun: Firestorm campaign. All of these were originally made for Firestorm (and two were even included on the FS disk), but they were never implemented.
Note that the ARTFS.INI update in this pack acts as a mod, and gets in the way of multiplayer compatibility. For that reason, I left the ARTFS.INI file outside of the mix archives, so you can easily rename it if you want to play multiplayer games.

[SAVEGAMES]

- DOS C&C savegames [GDI] / [Nod] / [Funpark]
Savegames for the DOS version of C&C. Has all missions in the GDI, Nod and Funpark campaigns, including all different map choices in the GDI and Nod campaigns.
To use the Funpark savegames, start C&C with the Funpark parameter, then start a new game, pick a side, and then load the game from the ingame menu. If you don't do this you will not continue to the next Funpark mission after finishing it.

- C&C Gold savegames [GDI] / [Nod] / [Funpark]
Savegames for the Windows version of C&C. Has all missions in the GDI, Nod and Funpark campaigns, including all different map choices.
These savegames all re-saved in to v1.06c, so all special mission options should work correctly.

- Red Alert v3.03 campaign savegames created by Frankaz
Savegames for all missions in the Allied, Soviet and ant campaigns, including all different map choices, for use with the 3.03 version of Red Alert 1.

[GERMAN CENSOR REMOVING]

- C&C1 German uncensor patch (MIX)
This patch has been included in the C&C95 v1.06 patch. The original old patch can still be found here.

- C&C1 German Uncensored movies (VQA) [SCREENSHOT]
A 55,8 Mb movies pack uncensoring most of the C&C1 movies. 83.6 Mb unrarred.

- RA1 German uncensor patch (MIX)
This patch has been included in the patch 3.03 installer. The original old patch can still be found here.

- RA1 German Uncensored movies (VQA) [SCREENSHOT]
A 58,3 Mb movies pack uncensoring most of the RA1 movies. 81.8 Mb unrarred.

- Tiberian Sun German uncensor patch Created by Zimbio81 (MIX)
A small patch that removes the censoring of the graphics and sounds in the german version of Tiberian Sun.

- Tiberian Sun German Uncensored movies Created by Fek'Leyr Targ (VQA) [SCREENSHOT]
A 42,8 Mb movies pack uncensoring most of the TS movies. 49.0 Mb unrarred.

[SOLE SURVIVOR STUFF]

-Sole Survivor patches created by Westwood Studios (EXE installers)
Not much to say about these... they're the official patches & readme files for the fabled Command & Conquer: Sole Survivor.
Many thanks to Rusty Le Cyborg for providing me with these :)

-Sole Survivor icons fix (MIX)
A fix for the weird green colours in the Sole Survivor unit icons.

[OLD STUFF] (oldest stuff is last on the list)

- C&C95/RA1 Network DLL Patch v1.01 created by Scorpio9a (Kevin van Gool) (DLL)
(this dll has been made obsolete by the one from the CnCNet project, which does the same thing, and adds optional online play through LAN as well)
This allows you to play C&C95 and Red Alert 1 (up to v2.00AM) LAN and online games on Windows XP and Windows Vista, without needing to install the IPX protocol.
Simply put this file in your C&C95/RA1 folder, overwriting the existing file.

- Simple C&C95 dinosaur launcher (BAT)
(this has been made obsolete by the fact C&C95 patch 1.06c makes the dinosaur missions easily accessible from the New Missions menu in the game)
Unzip the funpark.bat file in your C&C95 directory and double-click it to launch the game in dinosaur mode.

- RA1 German uncensor patch (MIX)
(this has been included in the RA 3.03 installer)
A small patch that removes the censoring in the german version of Red Alert 1. This is not just a 'blood patch', but a complete de-censoring of all unit names & mission briefings as well.

- Red Alert 3.03 fix for Aftermath mission "Situation Critical" created by MrFlibble
(this has been included in the RA 3.03 installer)
To prevent a last sub hiding in multiplayer games, RA v3.03 uncloaks all subs if they are the last units the player has. Unfortunately, this also applies to single player missions, which gives problems with the Aftermath mission "Situation Critical", where you start with nothing but submarines.
This replacement fixes the mission, so your submarines stay cloaked as they should.
Simply put this file in your RA1 folder. For (English) TFD, this fix is included in the main.mix cleanup patch.

- RA1 Snow Theater 'Smudge' Graphics Fix created by MrFlibble (MIX)
(this has been included in the RA 3.03 installer)
This small fix cleans up some graphical errors in the crater and scorch mark graphics in the RA1 snow theater.
Simply put this file in your RA1 folder. For (English) TFD, this fix is included in the main.mix cleanup patch.

- Red Alert Small Infantry patch (MIX)
(An updated version of this has been included in the RA 3.03 installer)
Modification that changes the oversized RA1 infantry back to normal size. (English version. German version is included in the uncensor patch)

- Red Alert 3.03 patch [English] / [German] / [French] created by Westwood Studios
(This original version of the patch became obsolete after I made a real installer for the 3.03 patch with native TFD support)
The official Red Alert 1 v3.03 beta patch, which gives the game an inbuilt WOL interface for online gaming. If the game keeps giving a "internet components" message instead of running the game, replace "RA95.LCF" by the included "_RA95.LCF".
After installing this patch, it is advised to also install the RA 3.03 network patch, since it removes the need for the IPX protocol on LAN games.
You need the TFD Red Alert 3.03 patch fix to make this patch work on TFD.

- TFD Red Alert 3.03 patch fix (EXE) / [Source code] (PASCAL)
(This fix became obsolete after I made a real installer for the 3.03 patch with native TFD support)
This allows you to use the RA 3.03 patch on TFD. Instructions included. Works on all three language versions of the patch.
Note that to play LAN with this version without needing to install the IPX Protocol, you need to use the specially adapted RA 3.03 LAN patch.

- Stripped Red Alert 1 MAIN.MIX for RAED (MIX)
(This fix has been made obsolete by the TFD main.mix cleanup, which fixes the problem that prevented RAED from reading the TFD main.mix)
This will make the Red Alert Scenario Editor C&C-RAED work on The First Decade. The program has problems with that because the edited TFD main.mix doesn't use the same mixfile encryprion as the original game.
Do note that this 3.5 megabyte file unzips to a 450 megabyte MAIN.MIX file.
Do not unzip this in your TFD Red Alert directory. Unzip it in a new directory and open the readme file RAED_MAIN.RTF for further instructions.

- C&C95 No-CD patch (EXE) / [Source code] (PASCAL)
(No-CD mode is now a basic option in the C&C95 v1.06 patch, making this patch obsolete)
This allows you to run C&C95 without needing the TFD Launcher, and gets rid of any "Insert CD-ROM" errors. Drag your C&C95.exe onto the program icon to disable the CD check.
This patch works for the English, German and French versions of the game. A patched exe will not function correctly on normal CD-installed versions, since the game will not find all necessary files.

- French addon for the English TFD C&C95 / Addon français pour le TFD anglais
(The French language is included in the C&C95 v1.06 patch)
(La langue française est inclus dans le mise à jour v1.06 pour C&C95)
This pack adds C&C95 in French to "The First Decade". It will not work on a normal CD version of the game.
Ce paquet ajoute la langue française au C&C95 de la compilation "The First Decade". Il ne marche pas sur la version CD normale du jeu.

- C&C Playstation Special Operations missions created by Westwood Studios (MIX)
(Since these are official missions, they are now included in C&C95 v1.06 patch. The PATSUX mission needs v1.06b for its special feature to work anyway)
This pack contains six special missions that can only be found in the Playstation version of the game. They were extracted by Rusty Le Cyborg.

- C&C Nintendo 64 Special Operations missions created by Westwood Studios (MIX)
(Since these are official missions, they are now included in C&C95 v1.06 patch)
This pack contains four special missions that can only be found in the Nintendo 64 version of the game, and their special N64 win and lose animations. They were extracted/reconstructed by Nyerguds.

- Siberian GRemlin's TFD Red Alert main.mix cleanup created by Siberian GRemlin (EXE)
(this program has been replaced by a new version which includes the expansion music into main.mix and cleans up all extracted files)
This tool cleans up the RA1 main.mix file in the way patch 1.01 SHOULD have done it, freeing up about 500 mb in the process. After running this path, you can remove all loose .VQA files from your Red Alert game directory, which will bring the total recovered disk space to about 800 mb.

- C&C1 German upgrade Pack  [SCREENSHOT]
(All of these features are now also available in the much-more upgraded C&C95 v1.06 patch)
This is a combination of the German uncensor patch, the icons with text, the high resolution patch and a new fix that prevents the briefings and mission names from being displayed completely in capital letters. A great way to upgrade your German C&C95 to the quality of the English version :)

- German C&C95 with text on the icons created by MrFlibble (MIX)
(this pack has been included in the C&C95 v1.06 patch. Though this pack also contains versions with the original censored names)
This pack is an upgrade for the German C&C95 to give it sidebar icons with text on them, just like the English version. The pack contains icons for both the censored and uncensored game.

- C&C1 German uncensor patch (MIX)
(this patch has been included in the C&C95 v1.06 patch)
A small patch that removes the censoring in the german version of C&C1. This is not just a 'blood patch', but a complete de-censoring of all unit names & mission briefings as well.

- C&C95 Special Options Enabler (EXE) [SCREENSHOT]
(this program is obsolete now, since C&C95 patch 1.06 allows users to freely edit all these options in the CONQUER.INI and RULES.INI configuration files)
This little tool allows you to enable a number of hidden beta options. The most notably useful being 6-player LAN, enabling the hidden music (only found on the DOS C&C and Covert Ops CDs) and showing the civilian names. Note that the "MCV Undeploy" contains a bug where 15 power units are irrepairably added to your power usage every time you use it, and that "Beta Sounds" require this file (from the DOS C&C CDs) to work.
This tool is written in C#, and requires the Microsoft .NET framework to run.

- Nyerguds' C&C95 High Resolution patch [English] / [German] / [French]  [SCREENSHOT] [SETUP TOOL SCREENSHOT]
(this patch was later expanded to the C&C95 1.06 patch, making this older version obsolete)
This awesome patch adds a new option to the C&C95 game settings that allows you to run the game in 1024x768 screen resolution. It contains all other known patches for C&C95.

- C&C95 Stealth Crash patch created by Komfr (BAT+EXE)
(this patch has been included in the C&C95 1.06 patch, and was moved here to avoid confusion)
Fixes a crash that happens if a stealth animation plays in the lower right quarter of the screen.
This patch only works on the English version of C&C95, but the patched German and French exe files found here also include this fix.

- Unofficial C&C95 1.05 patch created by VK (EXE)
(this patch has been included in the C&C95 1.06 patch, and was moved here to avoid confusion)
This patch not only fixes one of the most annoying crashes in C&C, but also makes the game run on WinXP without the need for compatibility mode. It requires Scorpio9a's Network DLL patch.
Any other patches that edit C&C95.exe (like the stealth patch) should be applied AFTER this one, since this can only patch an unmodified C&C95.exe file.
This patch only works on the English version of C&C95, but fixed exe files for the German and French versions of the game can be found here.

- C&C95 High Resolution patch (EXE+MIX) [SCREENSHOT]
(this tool has been replaced by Nyerguds' C&C95 High Resolution patch)
This is the first version of the awesome hi-resolution patch, based on a hack developed by Komfr. Unlike the newer version, this patch permanently changes the resolution of your game.

- TFD C&C1 cleanup & music fix (v1.3) (BAT)
(this tool has been replaced by the Full Cleanup)
This patch fixes the bug of the Covert Ops tracks not working, and generally cleans up after the TFD patches, freeing up some 400 mb (270 for the german version) without affecting the game. You need to apply the official TFD 1.01 patch before using this tool.
